Overview
The Director of IT leads the strategic direction, development, and management of the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and team. This hands-on role ensures the secure, efficient, and effective operation of all IT-related functions, aligning technology initiatives with business goals to drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. Key deliverables for this position include:.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives and innovation projects, including ERP optimization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.

IT Operations & Infrastructure:

  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
  • Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Champion innovation in software development

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT budget.
  • Optimize resource allocation and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, software engineering, e-commerce platforms, enterprise systems (Infor/M3 is a plus), and digital transformation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align IT with organizational goals.
