Overview
The Director of IT leads the strategic direction, development, and management of the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and team. This hands-on role ensures the secure, efficient, and effective operation of all IT-related functions, aligning technology initiatives with business goals to drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. Key deliverables for this position include:.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives and innovation projects, including ERP optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
IT Operations & Infrastructure:
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Champion innovation in software development
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget.
- Optimize resource allocation and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role preferred.
- Proven experience in IT strategy, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, software engineering, e-commerce platforms, enterprise systems (Infor/M3 is a plus), and digital transformation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align IT with organizational goals.
