Celebrating Community, Compassion & Fatherhood
Each year, Threads is honored to support organizations that strengthen the communities we call home. This December, our team had the privilege of volunteering alongside the Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia for its annual Father Christmas event—an evening dedicated to celebrating hardworking dads who are navigating financial, physical, or emotional hardships.
Held on December 18, 2025, at the Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia’s new office space at 2001 Maywill Street in Richmond, the event, the event uplifted 22 nominated fathers, each chosen from dozens of heartfelt community submissions. What makes this night so special is its element of surprise—these dads believe they’re simply bringing their children to visit Santa. Instead, they walk away with life-changing support for their families.
Behind the Magic
In just ten unforgettable minutes, each dad moves through an experience filled with warmth, gratitude, and hope:
- A surprise $500 gift card presented by Santa
- Holiday gifts for each child, thoughtfully selected and wrapped by volunteers
- Family photos, cookies, cocoa, and festive activities
- Volunteers helping load gifts into cars—ensuring the dads can simply enjoy the moment
Moments like these remind us that small gestures—when multiplied by a caring community—can make an extraordinary impact.
We’re grateful to the Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia for leading this incredible effort and for inviting Threads to play a small role in a life-changing night for so many deserving dads.
